About our Superfruit Green Apple:

Apples, the round and edible fruits produced by apple trees (Malus spp.), particularly the widely cultivated Malus domestica, hold a significant place in global horticulture. Originating in Central Asia, where their wild ancestor, Malus sieversii, still thrives, apples have a rich history spanning thousands of years in Asia and Europe before their introduction to North America by European colonists.

Boasting over 7,500 cultivars, apples cater to different tastes and applications, such as cooking, raw consumption, and cider or juice production. Yet, these trees and fruits are susceptible to fungal, bacterial, and pest issues, necessitating control measures, both organic and non-organic.

Winter apples, harvested in late autumn and preserved near freezing temperatures, have served as vital sustenance in Asia and Europe for centuries. Introduced to the Chiloé Archipelago by the Spanish in the 16th century, apple trees thrived in the region. North America witnessed the arrival of apples with colonial settlers in the 17th century, with the first apple orchard planted in Boston in 1625 by Reverend William Blaxton. Notably, only crab apples, once dubbed "common apples," were native to North America.

You need to know the benefits of Green Apple:

Nutrient-Rich: Apples are packed with essential nutrients, including vitamins (such as vitamin C and vitamin K), minerals (such as potassium), and dietary fiber. These nutrients support overall health and well-being.

Digestive Health: The high fiber content in apples aids digestion and promotes gastrointestinal health. Apples contain both soluble and insoluble fiber, which support healthy bowel movements and may prevent constipation.

Weight Management: Apples are a low-calorie and satisfying snack option, making them a valuable addition to weight management diets. The fiber content in apples helps promote satiety and reduce overall calorie intake.

An extensive body of research has linked high soluble fiber intake with a slower buildup of cholesterol-rich plaque in arteries. The phenolic compound found in apple skins also prevents the cholesterol that gets into your system from solidifying on your artery walls.

To manage weight and improve overall health, doctors recommend a diet rich in fiber. Foods high in fiber, like apples, will fill you up without costing you too many calories.

Green apples have a high fiber content which helps in increasing the body's metabolism. Due to its high fiber content, apple helps in the detoxification process.
